2024 has been a mixed bag—like every year, I guess.  I was blessed to have the resources to remodel my kitchen!  It was a long, messy process, unpleasant at times for me and my feline companions, but I absolutely love the results.  Still there is an ongoing issue with one of my new appliances, and it’s driving me crazy.  In other news, the IRS has decided to audit me.  Me—a retired public school teacher.  Well, what can ya do?  Just jump through the hoops.  Whatever.

But I am blessed with hiking buddies, writing companions, old friends from high school and college (many of whom I reconnected with this year at our reunion), my brother, my cousins, my cats.  Life is good.  I look forward to 2025 with curiosity, a little bit of trepidation, and a lot of hope.  As long as I can write, I’ll be okay.  May you all be blessed with people you love and work you find meaningful.

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Blessed Solstice, and a Peaceful 2025!!

I affirm we are kind, loving people and we are gentle with each other.  Amen

I’m definitely in need of a long winter’s nap!  See you in January!!
